She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Coast University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Michaela’s career as a nurse spanned over 16 years, during which she specialized in orthopedics and oncology, honing her skills and deepening her understanding of complex medical issues.

Michaela furthered her education at UNT Dallas College of Law, where she concentrated in Healthcare Law. Her commitment to both her legal and medical backgrounds is evident from her active participation in the Joyce Ann Brown Innocence Clinic and the Community Lawyering Clinic during her time in law school. Balancing her studies with her role as a nurse at Baylor Healthcare System, Michaela demonstrated remarkable dedication and perseverance.

Outside of her professional life, Michaela enjoys traveling with family and friends and is enthusiastic about contributing to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, the community where she was raised.
