About
Ma. Margarita “Margie” S. Lim is a licensed attorney in Texas, New York, and the Philippines. Before moving to the United States, Margie had a successful career in commercial litigation, arbitration, regulatory compliance, and policy advocacy in the Philippines.
Margie began her legal career as an associate at one of the Philippines’ top law firms where she represented several multinational corporations. She then served as legal and regulatory affairs counsel for one of the largest power generation and distribution companies in the country. In this role, she advised the company on legal, compliance, and regulatory matters and represented the company before energy regulators and other industry stakeholders. Before relocating to the United States, she led the legal, regulatory affairs, and policy analysis team at an international trade organization. In this capacity, she was responsible for clients’ investment advocacies, representing multinational companies before government agencies and regulators.
Margie received her Master of Laws in International Business Regulation, Litigation, and Arbitration from New York University School of Law in 2020. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the Ateneo de Manila University. Margie is new to Dallas and is looking forward to exploring the city with her husband, Christian.
